Acupuncture
One of the special services offered at our practice is acupuncture treatment. Acupuncture is one of the oldest known therapeutic methods, originating in East Asia. It was already being practised in the 2nd century BC.

Modern conventional medicine relies primarily on diagnostic examinations and pharmaceutical treatments. However, this approach can sometimes overlook the importance of considering the patient as a whole, including their physical, psychological and individual characteristics. By combining conventional medicine with traditional East Asian medicine, we aim to develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to each patient's needs, bringing together the potential benefits of both therapeutic approaches.
In ear, nose and throat (ENT) medicine, acupuncture is used as a complementary treatment, particularly for chronic conditions affecting the upper respiratory tract, headaches, inner ear disorders and allergies. It may also be considered as a supportive treatment for distressing conditions such as disorders of smell and taste.
Acupuncture may also be used to help manage: -
- Neck muscle tension
- Migraine
- Trigeminal neuralgia
- Various types of pain
- Neurological and psychosomatic diseases
- Hay fever (allergic rhinitis)
and other conditions.
Acupuncture may provide an additional therapeutic option for patients whose symptoms are difficult to manage with conventional treatments alone. Whether for joint and muscle pain or more complex medical conditions, acupuncture can be considered as a complementary approach within an individualised treatment plan.
